The LB-9110 biosafety cabinet is designed to protect the operator, the laboratory environment, and the experimental materials by preventing exposure to infectious aerosols and splashes when handling primary cultures, microbial strains, or other infectious materials. It is an essential piece of equipment for laboratories engaged in microbiology, biomedicine, genetic engineering, animal experimentation, and biopharmaceutical production-particularly in situations where protective measures are required, such as bacterial culture in pharmaceutical and research settings-providing a sterile, dustfree, and safe working environment
1. Biosafety Performance:
Personnel safety, assessed using the potassium iodide (KI) method, requires that the protection factor at the front-window operator opening be no less than 1 × 10^5
Product protection: microbial colony count 5 CFU
Cross-contamination protection: microbial colony count 2 CFU
2. Cabinet Leak Prevention:
The biosafety cabinet shall be pressurized to 500 Pa and maintained for 30 minutes, with the internal pressure not falling below 450 Pa. Alternatively, under conditions where the cabinet's internal pressure is held at 500 Pa ± 10%, all welds, gaskets, penetrations, and sealants on the external surfaces of the pressure ventilation system shall show no soapbubble formation at this pressure
3. Electric glass door control:
The front glass door is electrically controlled, with operation via a touchscreen LCD panel; it can also be operated using a foot switch, eliminating the need for direct contact between the user and the glass door. The door's drive motor is a dedicated reversible variablespeed type, featuring high starting torque and smooth, stable rotation
4. Warnings and Reminders:
When the height of the front window opening of the safety cabinet exceeds or falls below the specified operating height, an audible alarm is triggered; when the filter pressure rises above the set threshold, both audible and visual alarms are activated; and when airflow fluctuations exceed 20% of the nominal value, an audible and visual alarm is issued
5. Air Filtration System
Continuously supply clean air to the work area, ensuring that the downflow velocity, the cleanliness of the work area, and the cleanliness of the exhaust air all meet the specified standards
6. Ultraviolet Lamp
The UV lamp is positioned at the upper rear of the work area to ensure that UV light fully irradiates all spaces within the area, providing thorough disinfection
7. Control Panel
An IPS LCD touchscreen provides real-time display of the instrument's operating status and performance, such as the filter's active working condition, offering operators a more intuitive experience
